"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Before leaving Montgomery today, we decided to try Island Delight, and I’m so glad we did! I ordered the oxtail with collard greens, cabbage, and coco bread, and every bite was delicious. The oxtail was incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and covered in a rich, savory gravy that had me wishing I had ordered another plate to take home. The collard greens were well-seasoned, the cabbage was delicious, and the coco bread was the perfect addition to the meal. Everything was full of flavor, and the meal definitely exceeded my expectations. The restaurant was clean, colorful, and welcoming, and the staff was friendly. If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican food in Montgomery, I highly recommend Island Delight. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area."

"Ordered a 8 pc shrimp and fry plate with a lemonade. They were selling plates as a food vendor for an event. Was charged $39. The food was soggy and looked terrible, I threw it away. 1. I know I was overcharged. 2. Highly disappointed."

"I’ve been to Island Delight twice, both times during lunch to dine in. It seems that dining in is quicker than waiting in the pickup line, which can get pretty backed up. The “Just Peachy” smoothie is absolutely delicious. I’ve also tried their canned juices—and they’re so good I had to grab extras to take home!! Both times, I ordered the oxtails with rice, cabbage, and island slaw (slaw not pictured). The slaw is sweet and, I think, has apples in it. The cabbage is pretty standard—nothing to fancy. The oxtails are incredibly flavorful and tender. My only complaint is the portion size. The oxtail plate comes with a smaller serving of meat compared to other dishes. For example, my Dad got the curry chicken and received a larger portion. Next time, I plan to try the curry goat. While I really enjoy the oxtails, they feel a bit too pricey for the amount of meat you get. The servers were wonderful being very friendly and attentive. I will say the two ladies working the checkout stations seemed less welcoming, but it didn’t ruin the experience since I dined in. Overall, I’d definitely go back, but I’ll explore other meat options next time. The flavor is there, no question."
